Volunteers Take Their Message to the Streets

The Way to Happiness Foundation International kicked off a global outreach campaign with new mobile information centers appearing in communities around the world.
The Way to Happiness volunteers in Johannesburg, South Africa, set up their new mobile exhibit at the 15th anniversary of the “Ride Joburg” bicycle race.

A 20-foot-high structure emblazoned with the words “The Way to Happiness” grabbed the attention of festivalgoers across the American West. Inside, information panels and hard-hitting videos laid bare the stumbling blocks to real happiness and provided practical solutions. The beautifully written precepts of The Way to Happiness (TWTH) rekindle hope in individuals dismayed by the degradation they see around them.

About 12,000 people attended Denver’s Water Lantern Festival in Colorado. Children at the event created colorful TWTH lanterns, and people from all walks of life toured the mobile exhibit. An inspired dental hygienist asked for TWTH booklets for her patients who were often depressed about medical conditions. She went home with 144 TWTH booklets in English and 48 in Spanish. She also took the business information portfolio to implement TWTH in her practice. A couple who walked through the displays were impressed to find out the role TWTH booklets played in bringing about peace between rival gangs—the Crips and the Bloods—in Los Angeles.

The American Freedom Festival in Provo, Utah, is the largest Fourth of July street fair and party in the western United States. It celebrates liberty and civic responsibility. The Way to Happiness Foundation International’s mission to reverse society’s moral decay fits right in. The commander of an American Legion post was briefed on TWTH and loved the program. He now plans to incorporate TWTH into the Legion’s activities.

An ambassador for the Prescott, Arizona, Chamber of Commerce visited the mobile exhibit at the Prescott Bluegrass Festival. Active in party politics, she recognized the common-sense guide’s potential to turn discord into harmony and left armed with materials to bring the campaign into her community work. At the same festival, a youth group called the Young Marines requested to have the TWTH exhibit next to theirs because they believed so strongly in our message.

Soon people across the world will have the same opportunity to embrace the precepts, as TWTH Mobile Exhibits have been shipped to international cities as far south as Johannesburg, South Africa, and as far north as Malmö, Sweden. The Way to Happiness has been translated into 118 languages, and over 110 million booklets have been distributed by individuals around the globe.

Anyone can guide others to a happier, more ethical life. The Foundation has resource kits for educators, law enforcement and businesses. Start your own group today or volunteer with an existing TWTH team.

TAKING ACTION
Share The Way to Happiness

This Venezuelan actor never misses a chance to share The Way to Happiness with others.

We encourage you to share The Way to Happiness book with others.

With whom and how do you share it? The author of The Way to Happiness, L. Ron Hubbard, answered this question:

“Choose someone whose actions, however remotely, may influence your own survival.

“Write the person’s name on the top line of the front cover of this book.

“Write or stamp your own name, as an individual, on the second line.

“Present the person with the book.

“Ask the person to read it.

“You will find that he or she also is threatened with the possible misconduct of others.

“Give the person several additional copies of this book but do not write your name on them: let the other person write his or hers. Have the person present these copies to others that are involved in his or her life.”

Order your copies here.
